Taco Bell could be calling my name soon....

Well, this week has been pretty low key regarding appts or spelunking...however, i did receive a phone from the nurse and then in the mail, an explanation of our "calendar." She mapped out the next 2 months for us and approx dates for everything-which kinda made it more real for us. this is really happening!

Basically, I start birth control the first week of April along with antibiotics to stave off any potential infection during egg retrieval. The last time I was on Birth control I wanted Taco Bell every night & somehow gained 10lbs in the first month. yikes! I hope history won't be repeating itself.

Mid April Russ and I go to the injection classes to learn how to "shoot up" or to inject myself with the hormones that I'll be taking to increase production of eggs...this will be a wild hormonal roller coaster the next several weeks, I hope russell is up for the ride. It's weird that people have been asking me, for weeks now, if I've already started the "pills" or "drugs" because I've been so emotional. I just laugh and say, not even close- i'm just a little crazy and cry at the drop of a hat or when I see the previews for the new animal movie called "Chimpanzee". ha ha.

Anywho, around cinco de mayo, I'll be having a fiesta in the Dr. office as they do the suppression-ultra sound and check up before the HCG Trigger shot of hormones and egg retrieval. Then mid May they'll transfer of the fertilized embryos.
WOO HOO! Thats the next 7 weeks of our lives in a nutshell.

On the other hand, the fundraising hand, we have a few updates! We would love your continued prayers on our behalf as we just applied for a grant from a non-profit organization called "Fertile Dreams" that awards a couple doing IVF up to $10,000 to the fertility clinic of their choice. We thought that we should just go for it, we have nothing to lose! So, any extra prayers would be much appreciated!

Also, every week until the Fundraiser on April 28th, we will be posting pictures and little bios of the items, goods, services that have been donated so that you will be able to see what will be available for purchase, silent & live auction on the day of the Carnival! We hope that you'll check back often to see the creations of all of our amazingly talented friends and family!

"Shooting up" is really a life skill, so it's good you'll be learning it now. :) Also, once you start them drugs get ready to feel bloated! I had to use the rubberband trick around my pants buttons from the very beginning, it was crazy. All those extra follicles and eggs! TMI? So excited for you, if I haven't said that a million times yet.
