Do I hear a dollar? A nickel?

Remember the Shel Silverstein poem, "for sale?" Anyone?

For Sale
One sister for sale!
One sister for sale!
One crying and spying young sister for sale!
I’m really not kidding,
So who’ll start the bidding?
Do I hear the dollar?
A nickel?
A penny?
Oh, isn’t there, isn’t there, isn’t there any
One kid that will buy this old sister for sale,
This crying and spying young sister for sale?

I love this poem and its meaning this weekend is two-fold. My sister, Aprille, was here this weekend to help us celebrate our mommy's birthday. It has been a fun & crazy weekend and was hard to say good-bye to her. The poem is one we used to say as kids, and probably meant sometimes, but as adults I sure wish we lived closer and could play more often. We had a little get-a-away, just us three and then enjoyed conference weekend together eating a LOT of yummy food and burning lots of calories laughing.

Aside from the poem reminding me of her, it also reminds me of the fundraiser-which is in a month- and auctioning off the fabulous items, goods and such! I promised to start posting some of the auction items up so you could start getting an idea of what will be at the carnival, so here are a few. I am still learning how to embed these videos and text to explain each item. Sorry! Comment or FB with questions. :)
