valentine's day was fabulous and i hope everyone had a great day. russ and i started off working out because we knew we were going to pig out later at "red lobster." which of course we didn't disappoint. we were both starving when we got to the restaurant, which was not good, because that led us to believe that we needed to first, order an appetizer. An artichoke/lobster/ cheese creamy delight dip that conveniently included our weekly caloric intake. It was a bit insane. but so good...after our mouthwatering shrimp platter, we drove downtown portland to "cupcake jones," a taste buds delight. we got 4 mini cupcakes, we had to try several different flavors. which proved to be the wise choice when we both ended up liking the opposite flavors. we then beelined for Powell's bookstore, which was crazy busy, but profitable nonetheless. i got my book club books for cheap. we came home, exchanged gifts...i got the perfume i've been coveting and beautiful pink roses and lilies. we took a nap, which was greatly needed and ended it with the movie "Eagle Eye." Which kept us engaged and entertained. Needless to say it was a fun, relaxing, and enjoyable day with my love. and to sum it up, the chorus lyrics to Jason Mraz's song, Lucky, is how i felt and feel about my russell the love muscle.
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

I'm glad you had a fabulous Valentine's day. Cupcake Jones sounds incredible. Oh...how I miss the red lobster or any fine dining for that matter. Your grocery game sounds like some serious fun, but some major patience. I'll have to check it out!
cupcake jones? sounds yummy, what is it with cupcakes these days, they are soooo good
and what an all around fun day! love you kids.
I have that song as my ringer when Allen calls me. Love it. And glad to hear we are not the only ones who "make exceptions" with our eating habits. Good or bad! Loves! Wendy
