Bursitis is the name of the game. I have been suffering from some kind of hip/ psoas muscle/ sciatica pain intensely for the past few months. Between the Dr. visits, x-rays, prescribed medicine, I think one of the doctor's finally pinned down what it is. Bursitis in my left side- I have intense inflammation in the muscles around my hip, psoas and sciatica. Fabulous!! However, being on a lot of prednisone, a steroid, tends to make me react with all the side effects. For example, I'll be at work and helping kids with activities and it will just hit me like a truck..If I don't get food within 5 minutes, I swear I will devour my left arm...it increases your appetite...Awesome. It also tends to make me nervous and anxious and finally it causes me not to sleep, which I heard is in for August 2007, because I am definitely setting a trend with that one. So you can imagine what I look like at school...A hyped up person who acts like she is quitting diet coke- that has the munchies every other hour and who falls asleep when students are talking to her. Pretty much a really good role model at this point. Thankfully, I only need to be on the steroids another week...Good thing next week is vaca time.:)
Anywho, life in the "COUV" is great- Russell just finished with finals and has 5 weeks off from school..YIPEE. Well, till next time-Aloha!
Here is a link to more information on the Bursitis- I have talked to several people who have suffered from this or think they might-either way it's interesting.
